The Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival offers three days of family fun and a variety of entertainment. Handcrafted items and a variety of mouth-watering food choices are in abundance. Visitors may sample the sweetness of homemade apple butter hand-stirred in a huge kettle over a wood fire and tap their feet to the tune of a variety of musical performances. Costumed crafters and interpreters await visitors in the beautifully restored living history buildings. The hands-on activities are a great source of family fun, and participants take home their handmade memories. Visitors may also meet Characters in period dress strolling amid the festival and engage them in conversation. Events throughout the weekend include Living History Tours, "Spirit of Roscoe" Lantern tour (offered at 7:00pm on Friday & Saturday only, Reservations are recommended), Canal boat rides, and a children’s activity area.
Roscoe Village retail shops offer an array of gifts, including Ohio-made items and Village artisans’ handcrafted products. Come join us for a step back in time.
Admission is $5.00 for guests 12 years and older. This fee includes admission to the Living History Buildings but does not include admission to the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. Members of the Roscoe Village Foundation and children under 12 get in free. Parking is free. SPECIAL NOTE: On Friday, October 19th, we will be selling 3 day passes for festival admission, at the gates, for $10 each.
